Slee Blackwell win Law Society awards.
The black tie gala was commenced in rousing style by the Royal Marines military band. The Law Society president was guest of honour. He used the occasion to voice his worries about access to law and justice in the UK, which he described as being “under siege”.
Representatives from law firms all over Devon and Somerset were in attendance at the ceremony so competition for the coveted awards was fierce.
Jasmine Butler, a member of the firm’s personal injury department, won Support Team Member of the Year. Her award, sponsored by Paignton Zoo, was for “demonstrating dedication and motivation beyond the call of duty.”
In addition a member of our specialist abuse team at our Taunton office was named ‘Legal Hero’. She was given the award for displaying “exceptional dedication and commitment”, and going the ‘extra mile’ for her clients.
Slee Blackwell were runners up in 3 other categories: Team of the Year, Solicitor of the Year and Leader of the Year.
