Slee Blackwell NSPCC fundraiser – Quiz and raffle
Six of our Slee Blackwell colleagues are taking on the popular Bath half marathon in October 2023, in aid of the NSPCC. Runners, Jade Scoble, Penny Beales, Mia Nicholson, Ella Maddocks, Paula Isaac and Lynn Hawkins set a target of £1,800 for the charity and decided to put on a quiz and raffle fundraiser to help them reach their goal. They asked local business to donate prizes to the raffle and they were very fortunate to receive some very generous donations, including, creams teas, beauty treatments, sweet treats, flowers, massages, photoshoots and even a Dryrobe.
The team hosted the fundraiser at the Barnstaple Rugby Club and decorated the room with NSPCC merchandise. Although they encountered some microphone issues, Mia made good use of her lungs and took the guests through 4 rounds. The winners were announced which was the Slee Blackwell team from our Taunton office, who had travelled to North Devon especially for the event. The winning team won a lovely hamper, which had been kindly donated by Medical Legal Appointments.
