At Slee Blackwell Solicitors, we continue to support survivors of Harrods abuse who are coming forward under the company’s Redress Scheme. This includes individuals who have shared deeply personal accounts of how they came into contact with Mohamed Al-Fayed during his time as chairman of Harrods.
Investigations into Mohamed Al Fayed’s systematic rape and sexual abuse of women at Harrods for over a decade have focussed on those who may have facilitated his depraved behaviour. Those who saw the recent Channel 4 Dispatches investigation “Delivered to a Predator” will be familiar with allegations that senior Harrods employee Kelly Walker-Duncalf introduced young women to Mohamed Al Fayed for the purposes of sexual abuse.
The Harrods Redress Scheme has been developed to provide those affected with a route to compensation. It remains open to applicants until 31 March 2026, and offers survivors financial compensation, a formal apology, and a pathway that avoids the re-traumatising effects of formal court proceedings.
If an applicant under the Scheme is unhappy with the compensation offer, they can appeal to an independent barrister. Harrods is bound by the outcome – applicants are not. Legal costs for appeals are also covered by Harrods.
We are one of a small number of law firms that were consulted during the development of the Scheme. We guarantee that all eligible applicants we represent will receive 100% of their compensation, with no deductions.
Our Legal 500 recommended abuse lawyers understand how difficult it can be for survivors to come forward. We therefore deal with claims with sensitivity and compassion.
If you, or someone you know, was abused by Mohamed Al-Fayed or believes they may be eligible to apply for compensation under the Harrods Redress Scheme, please don’t hesitate to get in touch in confidence for a free consultation. We are here to help.
