Shannon King is a former police detective who joined Slee Blackwell Solicitors to focus on helping victims of sexual abuse. She will qualify as a solicitor once she has completed her Solicitors Qualifying Exams.

Having graduated from the University of Leicester with a degree in Law, Shannon went on to obtain her master’s degree. Part of her dissertation focused on how abuse victims are portrayed in the media and the impact this can have on them within the legal system.

Shannon is also developing a specialism in NHS continuing healthcare cases, and in her spare time she likes to travel and explore new places.
