Profile:

Elizabeth Duncan is a member of our personal injury department.

She specialises in abuse law and is a member of ACAL, the Association of Child Abuse Lawyers, dealing with claims against schools, healthcare providers, religious institutions, local authorities, employers, and other organisations.

Her notable cases include recovering over £240,000 from the government’s Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority (CICA) scheme for a woman who had suffered sexual abuse in childhood.

As well as sexual abuse cases, Elizabeth handles injury claims arising from accidents that have resulted in life changing injuries, including road traffic collisions and accidents at work. She has recovered millions of pounds of compensation for her clients.

In 2019 Elizabeth was recipient of the prestigious Legal Hero award from DASLS.

She has close links with a number of UK charities. She provides legal training to various charitable bodies and is a trustee for a charity promoting the relief of the sick and poor.

Elizabeth is also the firm’s training partner.
