Nightwalk is back
Slee Blackwell Partner, Andrew Burke, commented:
“The Hospice is personally important to me, because they kindly helped my dad in his last few days, and were very helpful to my mum in providing bereavement counselling after he died. Over the years we have raised thousands of pounds for the Hospice, and I can’t think of a better or more deserving local cause.”
The ladies only moonlit walk takes place on Saturday, May 18, 2019. Routes along the Tarka Trail range from 3.5 to 11 miles and start from Barnstaple, Bideford, Instow and Torrington.
Over a thousand women are expected to take part in the event to raise much needed funds for hospice night nurses.
The theme of this year’s Hospice Nightwalk is #partylikeits1984
This year marks the 35th anniversary of North Devon Hospice, which first started caring for local people in 1984. Since then they have helped tens of thousands of patients and their families at the most difficult points in their lives.
We will be entering a Slee Blackwell team in the Hospice Nightwalk and as the accompanying photo shows, they are already getting into the party spirit.
