Free wills for charity scheme raises £2.6m of future income for charities
We have received a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Free Wills Network in recognition of the work our lawyers have done to raise £2,666,400 of future income for the charities that belong to the scheme.
The National Free Wills Network enables participating UK charities to offer ‘free wills’ to supporters who are willing to leave a legacy to their chosen cause. There are currently 197 charities involved with the Network, many of which are household names. If you would like to take advantage of the free wills for charity scheme you should contact the charity you wish to benefit. You will be sent a Charity Free Wills Pack, which includes a Free Will voucher and a supporter’s unique reference number for your specific charity. Once you have this then you can contact ourselves and an appointment can be made with one of our specialist will lawyers.
We have four offices in Devon, located in Barnstaple, Bideford, South Molton and Braunton, and you can choose whichever one is likely to be most convenient for you.
We will discuss with you the charitable legacy you wish to include in your will, along with your other testamentary wishes. The will is then drafted by us and once you have approved the contents and are satisfied that it truly reflects your intentions, we will oversee its execution in accordance with the requirements of the Wills Act. Once your will has been executed we shall contact the National Free Wills Network and can arrange for the original will to be safely stored in our strongroom at no charge to you.
