Making an enquiry to our clinical negligence helpline
It can sometimes be difficult to know if the issues you have experienced at the hands of a medical professional count as clinical negligence, and are therefore worthy of investigation by specialist solicitors; or whether you should just “forget it”.
At Slee Blackwell we encourage anyone who feels they may have been let down by the medical profession (including GPs, hospitals, dentists or private clinics) to contact us. Litigation assistant, Jade Scoble, handles all new enquiries to our clinical negligence helpline and will be happy to review your case, free of charge. You don’t need to know if you have a legally valid medical negligence claim, that’s our job to find out and let you know.
Information we will ask for
It is helpful to have some information to hand when making the initial enquiry so that we can review your case as quickly as possible. This information includes:
- What you feel has been done incorrectly by the medical profession;
- Who you feel has been negligent, eg GP, hospital, dentist etc;
- Key dates;
- What injury or injuries you have suffered (physically or psychologically); and
- If its a cosmetic surgery claim – before and after photos.
Additional information
In some cases, Jade may advise you to make a formal complaint, and she will be happy to assist with this if needed. If a complaint has already been made then please have that available, along with any responses that have been received, as the information can help to establish whether a claim will be viable.
Reviewing your case
Once the initial details have been taken and Jade has obtained all the necessary information, she will review your case with our medical negligence team, including head of department, Oliver Thorne. Your case will be reviewed thoroughly to ascertain whether there are grounds to bring a claim, and that we can help you on a no win no fee basis. Once the review has been completed, Jade will contact you to let you know the outcome.
