Our Barnstaple based commercial property department has a vacancy for a full time solicitor or Cilex to join the team.

The role will involve dealing with a mixed caseload of commercial property transactions, acting on behalf of commercial landlords, investors, developers and lenders.
You will work alongside two experienced partners, Emma Reed and Nick Arthur. They will provide support and supervision, but will also offer you the ability to work independently and cultivate your own client-base.
There are good prospects for a hard working, self motivated and ambitious candidate, seeking to establish themselves in the commercial property sector.
Ideally you will have at least two year’s post qualification experience, but we are willing to consider strong candidates who have only recently qualified.
We have an opportunity for a qualified lawyer (Legal Executive or Solicitor) in our expanding inheritance dispute team.
Ideally you should have experience in managing a varied contentious probate caseload, with experience of acting for both claimants and defendants in the following types of claims:
· Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 proceedings
· Challenges to the validity of a Will
· Executorship disputes
· TOLATA proceedings
However, although contentious probate experience is preferred, we will consider candidates from a private client or civil litigation background.

Are you an ambitious personal injury lawyer (NQ Solicitor/Trainee Legal Executive) looking for a rewarding role within an award wining, Legal 500 recommended department? If so we would love to hear from you.
Based in our Taunton office you will be dealing with portal and fixed fee claims with the opportunity to learn and develop niche areas of law.
Work is varied and will involve running your own RTA and EL/PL caseload, as well as assisting with higher value claims in more niche areas of law. This is a significant opportunity for someone to gain excellent experience early on in their legal career.
You will be responsible for day to day communications with your clients, defendant insurers and solicitors. You will be familiar with the low value protocol and be prepared to deal with claims up to Stage 3 of the Portal. You should have an understanding of the CPR and be able to draft basic applications. For fixed fee matters in proceedings you will be managing the claim and preparing court documents under supervision.
You will assist with assessing prospects of success in terms of liability and be able to review and note relevant disclosure. You will be able to prepare instructions to Counsel. You will be able to find suitable medical experts and instruct accordingly. You will be able to draft witness statements. You will be able to assess quantum and research and consider general and special damages. You should be able to explain Part 36 offers and issues such as causation to your client.
You will also have the opportunity to get involved with marketing opportunities and encouraged to prepare content for the firm’s websites and social media.
