Toni is a partner in our Private Client team and is highly experienced in all aspects of private client work, including drafting Wills, tax planning, care planning, administration of estates, advising on powers of attorney, Deputyship applications and Trusts.

She obtained an Upper Second Class Honours Degree in Law in 1988.  She  went on to pass the  Law Society’s Finals examinations after studying at the College of Law’s, Chancery Lane branch in London the following year.  She completed her two year Articles of Clerkship with a small commercial firm in Hertford and qualified as a Solicitor in November 1991.  After qualification she initially specialized in all aspects of civil litigation and family law, practising in the South East of England.

In March 1998 Toni relocated to beautiful North Devon and joined Slee Blackwell. Initially she worked with  the Firm’s Family Team and became a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel.  However in 2000 she made the move to non-contentious private client work. Since joining the Private Client Team she has helped thousands of families and individuals both locally and further afield.  She became a partner in 2004.

She has drafted thousands of Wills over the years, ranging from very simple ones to Wills tailored to suit Clients with more complex testamentary wishes.  Likewise, she has become particularly experienced at dealing with administration of estates of all kinds, with a special interest in agricultural estates.

She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) and the Law Society’s Private Client Section.  She is also a Dementia Friend.
