Chris Holten is a Partner in our Contentious Probate Department who joined the firm in 2014 as a newly qualified Solicitor. While he specialises in all aspects of inheritance dispute law, he has a particular interest in contested wills and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975.
He is a member of ACTAPS, the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.
Outside work Chris enjoys cooking, taking his dogs for long walks in the countryside and trekking our coastal paths.

Having searched high and low for a reputable solicitor to take on my Contentious Probate case, by sheer luck, an internet search led me to Chris Holten of Slee Blackwell Solicitors LLP. Chris was able to explain in detail what the overall process would entail; what the anticipated legal costs would be; and the likely outcome/duration of pursuing my case. His measured, personable and calm approach convinced me that I had at last found someone I trusted and whom I had faith in. After two years of due diligence, legal insight and dogged determination, Chris ~ ably assisted by his charming legal secretary Sharnie Jenkins ~ was able to secure a more than satisfactory result for my case.
