Important TUV 5 PIP Implant Claims Update: July 2021
We are no longer accepting new clients under the TUV 5 wave of PIP claims. Other firms may still be taking on new TUV 5 clients and we would recommend that you make urgent enquiries if you want your claim to be considered. We do not know whether there will be a TUV 6 group in the future, but we will post news on this when a decision has been made.
PIP compensation lawyer Oliver Thorne has appeared on BBC TV to talk about the latest ruling in the French appeal court.
Oliver, who has been fighting for justice for British women in the French courts for several years, was delighted with the French court’s decision which he says paves the way for many more British victims to come forward and claim the compensation they deserve.
German safety body TUV Rheinland, which awarded safety certificates for faulty breast implants made by French company Poly Implant Prothèse, is facing worldwide claims. It is believed that almost 500,000 British women received the defective implants and to date only a small minority have received compensation.
Oliver told the BBC that many women still had their PIP breast implants in place because they did not have the money to get them replaced, and that is why it is so important they receive compensation.
He added that, “The cosmetic surgery industry as a whole needs to sit up and see what has gone on here and it’s time things were changed.”
Oliver has also been asked to speak to other national media outlets, including LBC.
The French ruling has led to hundreds of calls being made to our PIP legal helpline. Oliver and his team are now busy registering the new cases which we are able to deal with on a no win, no fee basis. If you would like to know where you stand on making a PIP compensation claim then call us on freephone 0333 888 0404 or send brief details to us by email at [email protected]
