About Me

My message to prospective clients is a simple one; I am here to help and be the buffer to your family, as well as the helping hand to have the strength to see you through this most difficult of times and complex of areas of the law. My goal is to ensure that everyone – especially the most vulnerable – has a specialist solicitor by their side to navigate these claims with sensitivity, compassion and above all tenacious determination to get the best result”

I am a Senior Consultant Solicitor with 14+ years of experience working as a contentious probate and trusts dispute solicitor and with a First Class Honours degree in Law from Exeter University.

I work in association with Slee Blackwell Solicitors LLP, having previously worked for the firm for many years starting in 2008 as a paralegal then training and qualifying as a Solicitor with the firm in 2011.

I briefly flew the nest for the bright lights of a London practice in 2014, where I established a highly successful contentious probate department from scratch, before returning to my roots at Slee Blackwell in 2020 as a Partner.

From 2025 I am now on a new exciting journey working with my own consultancy company, continuing to provide the absolute best client care.

Recommended by the 2025 edition of the Legal 500:

“Hayley Bundey was highly asute, tenacious and focused. She also had great warmth and empathy and sought to minimise the delays and associated distress caused by various detours fron the other side. Hayley was kind and careful around considering what was and was not relevant to the case, she gave excellent and balanced advice, which helped me to stay calm and think clearly about what outcome I could accept in terms of a compromise.”

ACTAPS Full Member:

I am a full member of ACTAPS reflecting my expertise and experience in this complex and specialist field.

With You Every Step of the Way

What I Do

I specialise in Contentious Probate and Trusts Dispute work, including will validity disputes (on grounds of lack of capacity, undue influence, fraudulent calumny and forgery), claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975, co-executor and executor/beneficary disputes including CPR64 claims and s50 applications to remove executors and trustees. I have particular experience and expertise in TOLATA (property ownership and cohabitee) disputes, Proprietary Estoppel claims & farming disputes. I also have a keen interest in helping the most vulnerable of clients including victims of abuse and those taken advantage of by their loved ones.

I have specialised in these areas throughout my career since originally training with Slee Blackwell in 2008.

My Track Record

I have an excellent track record for settling even the most entrenched cases and I am a keen advocate of ADR, particularly mediation, as the best means of resolving these types of claims particularly where it can avoid the heartache of clients attending a trial and having their family’s dirty laundry aired in public.

However, I am also a tenacious and fearless litigator when fighting in the corner of my clients where I am often the first and only buffer they have had from those who have otherwise victimised them throughout their lives.

I am familiar with the unique tactics necessary to prepare even the most complex of cases, and manage even the most entrenched opponent, for a multi-day trial and to win!

I was the Solicitor for the Claimant in the TOLATA case of Smith -v- Fraser before His Honour Judge Monty QC, in which we achieved a resounding success for our worthy victimised client through determined pursuit of the details which made all the difference at trial.

I am passionate about this area of law and do all I can to spread the message to those who are perhaps nervous to explore their rights that I am here as the helping hand they need to stand up for themselves and achieve justice.

Tracey

“Slee Blackwell took the case on and steered it towards settling out of court as much as possible. They’ve been tenacious, honest and organised. Hayley has looked after my interests very well and shown great initiative. She’s had great forward thinking and has both a strong overview and a strong command of detail. I cannot praise Hayley enough for her abilities and care towards me and my case. Our barrister expertly steered his questioning and revealed the truth in court, which made me very emotional. Justice is a good thing if you can get there and you sometimes can’t get there without taking legal action. That’s why you need intelligent and organised experts on your side. I’m grateful to Slee Blackwell for their efforts which have aided me greatly in releasing
myself from being a victim.”
