Iain Robinson
Iain is a solicitor in the firm’s Commercial department and, during his training with the firm, worked with the Conveyancing and Criminal teams. Iain was a commercial property paralegal in Bristol before joining Slee Blackwell and has also worked in-house in the litigation department of a media company.
Iain read law at Warwick University and took the Legal Practice Course at York. He acts for commercial landlords and tenants, and for both buyers and sellers of land and businesses. He also attends to routine corporate matters, and drafts standard terms and conditions for small businesses. His clients include local landowers and landlords, start-up businesses, charities, private individuals and high street banks, and he has worked on properties as diverse as rough pasture, offices, public houses and licensed wedding premises.
In his youth Iain averaged a wholly undeserved 93 with the bat for the firm’s cricket team. He also runs, climbs, wins pub quizzes, mountaineers, once rescued a drowning puppy from a pond, and occasionally gets to the gym.
