The Legal 500 has recommended injury solicitors Slee Blackwell in the 2023 edition of its independent guide to the legal profession.
The Legal 500 is the leading guide to firms solicitors in the UK and has more than four million annual visitors to its website. It is a great honour for any firm to be included in this prestigious guide, particularly as entry is based on a comprehensive analysis of literally thousands of interviews carried out by the publication’s researchers.
We are therefore delighted to report that we have been included among the recommended injury solicitors in the latest 2023 edition.
The publication highlights the work of key members of our personal injury team, and congratulates us on offering clients a broad range of specialisms in this area.
Practice head James McNally is singled out for special mention, with the researchers noting that he, “stands out for his expertise in the niche area of dog bite claims, where he handles complex cases involving severe injuries.”
It’s no surprise that James has caught the eye of the publication’s authors, having been featured in the national press, including The Guardian and the Daily Mirror, and earning the nickname ‘the dog bite solicitor’.
Elsewhere in the guide, injury lawyer and partner Elizabeth Duncan is “noted for her work handling claims made to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority, particularly involving childhood sexual and physical abuse.”
Another lawyer in our successful accident claims team mentioned by The Legal 500 is Jasmine Moxey-Butler.
The guide additionally praises Slee Blackwell for our work on behalf of clients who have suffered workplace injuries, with a particular focus on stress at work claims.
It is not only our personal injury team that the The Legal 500 has recommended. Our medical negligence team has also been included, with the guide stating:
“The clinical negligence team is led by Oliver Thorne, who has specialisms in childbirth injuries and cases related to cosmetic surgery. Caroline Webber Brown was promoted to partner in January 2022 and has a diverse practice, with a focus on rectopexy mesh claims.”
James McNally praised the members of both teams:
“Our inclusion in the 2023 edition of The Legal 500 is a testament to the hard work, commitment and professionalism of our dedicated lawyers, and those behind the scenes supporting them. They have all done very well.”
Our personal injury team has also been ranked 4th in the UK out of 2,570 firms by the legal review website, ReviewSolicitors – www.reviewsolicitors.co.uk July 2023.
